Bidders can assume normal working hours, and if they must perform some of the work at off hours due to the impact on operations, the MBTA will pay the delta in labor costs between overtime and straight time costs, based on certified payrolls.

Bidders should assume normal working hours, however some areas of the facility that are sensitive to production may require work to be performed after 1 pm. If work has to be performed by the contractor during other-than-normal working hours, the MBTA will pay the delta in labor costs between overtime and straight time costs, based on certified payrolls. The MBTA considers work performed between 4 PM and 5 AM to be other-than-normal working hours.
In all cases the contractor must coordinate the work in advance with the facility manager to minimize impact on operations.
