Request for Proposal FY27 Restoration 1853 Hunneman Hand Tub Fire Apparatus Pursuant to MGL Chapter 30B the Town of Stoughton is inviting qualified candidates to submit proposals for full restoration of a 1853 Hunneman Hand Tub Fire Apparatus based on the specifications in the proposal documents. The Town's Chief Procurement Officer has determined in order to select the most advantageous proposal from responses for the restoration of the 1853 Hunneman Hand Tub Fire Apparatus, the Request for Proposal process must be conducted. The Town believes qualified, capable and highly experienced professionals providing these services must have a broad range of experience in working with municipalities and or collectors for this type of specialized apparatus. The Request for Proposal (RFP) process will enable the Town to provide higher rating to proper's whose key project personnel have extensive experience and these types of historic restorations in providing similar services to other comparable municipalities. A committee will be formed, made up by the Procurement Officer and others assigned by the Chief Procurement Officer, to review the RFP submittals. Interviews, if necessary, will be tentatively scheduled during the week of November 1st, 2026. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all responses if the Owner determines, within its own discretion, that it is in the Owner's best interests to do so. Proposal documents will be available starting October 13, 2026 9:00am am by contacting the Procurement Department at e: bids@stoughton-ma.gov v: (781) 232-9364 or to pick up documents at the Town Hall - Procurement Office 3rd Floor at 10 Pearl Street, Stoughton, MA. An award will be made to the most advantageous proposal based upon the Proposer's non- price and price proposals which are the subject of this RFP Sealed proposals must be received by October 29th, 2026 3pm prevailing time at Town Hall, Procurement Department 3rd Floor 10 Pearl Street, Stoughton, MA 02072. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality, to reject any or all bids or to cancel this Request for Proposal if it is in the Town's best interest to do so.
