The Massachusetts Office of Environmental Justice and Equity (OEJE) is committed to ensuring a fair and equitable distribution of all environmental and energy benefits and burdens. In doing so, we must ensure that there is meaningful engagement with our community partners to ensure every policy and program is designed with equity at the center. Through this Environmental Justice (EJ) Capacity Building grant, the Office of Environmental Justice and Equity seeks to support community organizations that are working with those communities that are most impacted by climate change to amplify their voices and build their capacity so that they may more effectively and efficiently execute their missions and engage with our office. Capacity building is defined as support, investment, or training that can be used to give organizations the skills, knowledge, tools, and other resources to sustain their climate and environmental justice work.
