This funding is critical to providing students with nutritional and culturally responsive foods at a time when the rise in inflation is outpacing the rise in earnings. This non-competitive grant opportunity provides $1 million to assist Massachusetts public community colleges, state universities, University of Massachusetts undergraduate campuses, and federally defined minority serving institutions (MSIs) with the potential to address student food insecurity on campuses. Campuses are invited and encouraged to review the Hunger Free Campus Initiative grant guidelines and complete the budget worksheet to specify how they plan to use their allocated funding. The grant application is posted under this bid.
