The purpose of this state-funded continuation grant program is to implement and enhance partnerships between high schools in public school districts and public institutions of higher education (IHE), families and adult service agencies to offer inclusive concurrent enrollment opportunities for students with intellectual disabilities, ages 18-22 as part of a district partnership, and at the colleges discretion, students over the age of 22 who meet the said criteria.

The total amount available for any grantee is subject to state appropriation. The state legislature has identified funding for this program in the Department of Higher Education (DHE). Previously funded partnerships are eligible to apply as follows: Institutions eligible for grants extending from $85,000 - $165,000: Bristol Community College, Bunker Hill Community College, Cape Cod Community College, Framingham State University, Massachusetts College of Art & Design, Massasoit Community College, Middlesex Community College, Northern Essex Community College, Salem State University, UMass Amherst, UMass Boston, and Westfield State University. * Institutions eligible for grants not to exceed $75,000: Bridgewater State University Institutions eligible for grants not to exceed$30,000: Holyoke Community College and Massachusetts Bay Community college Two to three different consortia of currently funded partnerships may be awarded up to $40,000 each to plan this work. One partnership up to $75,000 may be awarded to address collaboration with the Boston Public Schools. Final funding levels are subject to state appropriation.
