The work of this Contract includes renovations to the Third Floor of the Main High School Building and Main High School Quad site improvements. THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please review the instructions in the bid documents (Spec. 002113) on how to register as an electronic bidder. The bids are to be prepared and submitted at www.biddocsonline.com. Tutorials and instructions on how to complete the electronic bid documents are available online (click on the Tutorial tab at the bottom footer of specification section 002113a). Electronic sub-bids for the tile trade listed herein on forms furnished by the Awarding Authority will be received by the Awarding Authority via www.biddocsonline.com until 2:00 p.m. local time on April 14, 2022. All Filed Sub-Bids will be made publicly available via the online bidding platform immediately thereafter. Each Filed Sub-Bidder must be certified by the Department of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) showing that the Sub-Bidder has been certified in their particular category to participate on public construction projects and to perform the work required, For a Sub-Bid to be considered, a DCAMM Certification and Update Statement indicating additional work or contracts performed or executed after the certification date must be submitted. Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available at www.biddocsonline.com (may be viewed electronically and downloaded at no cost) or hard copies may be purchased at Nashoba Blue, Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167), after 10:00AM local time, on March 30, 2022. Copies of Addenda #5 (tile re-bid) will be posted electronically via www.biddocsonline.com. The Bidding Documents may be examined at the following places during normal business hours after issuance: BidDocs Online reference specification sections 002113a eBidding Instructions to Bidders and 002114 eBidding Registration Instructions. Nashoba Blue Inc. 433 Main Street Hudson, MA 01749 978-568-1167 Each Filed Sub-Bid shall be accompanied by Bid Security equal to five (5) percent of the Bid amount in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Treasurer's or Cashier's Check issued by a responsible U.S. bank or Trust Company, payable to the Town of Brookline. Each Bidder shall attach the required Bid Bond or Check to the Bid Form. The Bid Securities of all Filed Sub-Bidders, except those of the Sub-Bidders named in the General Bids of the three lowest responsible and eligible General Bidders, and those of the three lowest responsible and eligible Sub-Bidders for each sub-trade, will be returned within five (5) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of General Bids. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any Filed Sub-Bid if it determines that such Sub-Bid does not represent the Sub-Bid of a person competent to perform the Work as specified. (C.149, Sec.44E) Attention is directed to the fact that no less than the minimum wages as set forth in Document 00 7343 WAGE RATES of the Contract Documents must be paid on this Project and that no sales tax shall be included in their bids. All bids for this project must comply with the MBE/WBE requirements included in the Procurement Requirements. Refer to Document 00 2213 SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTION FOR BIDDERS for the requirements for participation by Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE). The applicable goals for minority business enterprise (MBE) and woman business enterprise (WBE) for this contract shall be as follows: MBE = 4.2% of the contract price.
