The Massachusetts Department of Public Health Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (MDPH BSAS) is seeking applications to establish or expand mobile addiction services providing low barrier, low threshold clinical care and harm reduction services to individuals who are at high risk for overdose and other medical complications associated with substance use. The goal of this initiative is to engage high risk individuals not currently engaged in care, initiate and continue medication for addiction treatment, provide harm reduction services and linkages to long-term, comprehensive, community based care in order to prevent death, support long-term recovery, and improve health and quality of life by increasing access to integrated care. Please note this funding cannot be used for the purchasing or leasing of vehicles. Allowable expenses personnel expenses, vehicle maintenance and upkeep, insurance, gas, medical equipment and supplies, harm reduction supplies, some food and drinks for patients and patient transportation. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to purchase or lease a van that meets the required specifications described below using other sources of funding.
