The City of Gloucester seeks sealed bids, IFB #18127 involves the removal and salvaging of granite block stones on the upper portion of the existing South Breakwater down to approximate Mean High Water (MHW) elevation, replacement of the breakwater structure with granite stone veneer and concrete core, repairs to the quay and granite block quay walls at the North and South Breakwater, stone revetment improvements at the North and South Breakwater, stone chinking of above-water voids and underwater void repairs to the structures and landside wall and revetment improvements. This project is bid pursuant to MGL Chap. 30, sec 39M. Massachusetts Prevailing Wage rates shall apply. A bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the total bid price must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment & Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid price. Bids are due and will be opened at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, 9 Dale Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930 no later than Mar. 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Bid packages will be available at the Purchasing Office Feb.14, 2018 upon receipt of a $50.00 refundable dep. If mailing is requested a $25.00 fee is required.
