Bulletin Desc:

The Massachusetts Department of Youth Services (DYS) is soliciting proposals for the provision of comprehensive optometry services to the youth that are in DYS custody in all DYS facilities in all five (5) DYS Regions (Central, Metro, Northeast, Southeast and Western). It is expected that one Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) will be made in conjunction with this request with an initial duration of three years and up to five additional one-year options to renew.

The Optometry provider/program selected under this RFR will be awarded neither funds nor capital goods. The selected provider must be a licensed optometry provider or group of optometry providers with a special interest and expertise in serving high-risk children and be actively enrolled as a provider with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Office of Medicaid (MassHealth). The program must have the capacity to provide timely follow-up appointments and effective referrals to provide and complete treatment for problems found during the examination.
