Item Information
Item # 1: ( 93-14 - 00 )
The Department of Public Health's Bureau of Substance Abuse Services (BSAS) seeks to fund agencies involved in existing post-overdose follow-up programs that partner harm reduction specialists with first responders. The total annual procurement for this service is $500,000.00 pending a federal grant appropriation. Each awarded vendor will receive approximately $100,000.00 per year. The primary goal of the post Overdose 911 Call Follow-Up Program is to provide a supportive, informational encounter with individuals who have overdosed and/or their family members or people they live with. The primary focus of this service is on the safety of the person who overdosed and on providing overdose prevention education and referrals to resources in a manner that is non-confrontational and focused on harm reduction.
