The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife is seeking Proposals to conduct baseline vegetation monitoring and to document the current vegetation types associated with 280 acres of the general Riparian Emergent Marsh Communities along the Quaboag River at Quaboag WMA in Brookfield, Massachusetts. locus: Figure 01 . The Emergent Riparian Marsh Community on the Quaboag River is of regional significance due to its size, condition and presence of important natural communities and the specialized species that these communities support. This Request for Proposals is intended to establish a baseline of current conditions in the Quaboag Marsh in order to better understand the distribution and structure of the various vegetation types at the site, document these conditions to provide historical context to evaluate broad changes in the marshs future composition and condition, and to inform MassWildlife staff about short and longterm management priorities and needed actions.
