Item Information
Item # 1: ( 93-14 - 00 )
This RFR is being re-opening for a specific targeted region of the state. MDPH/BEH is seeking vendors focusing on providing services in Southeastern Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP) is part of the Bureau of Environmental Health (BEH) and was established for the prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of lead poisoning, including the identification and elimination of sources of poisoning through inspections, research, and educational, epidemiologic, and clinical activities. CLPPP provides a range of both primary and secondary prevention services to the children of the Commonwealth, their families, and others with an interest in the prevention of lead poisoning. In order to prevent lead poisoning and to identify lead poisoned children in order to provide medical and environmental services, CLPPP developed linkages with a wide array of professionals and programs that provide services to children. The facilitation of lead screening, diagnosis and treatment of lead poisoning, and the creation of lead safe housing are paramount to CLPPP's mission. CLPPP plans to procure services from vendors to provide a set of comprehensive regional childhood lead poisoning prevention and intervention activities, specifically the provision of direct care home visiting services to families whose child is identified with a blood lead level of concern or with lead poisoning. CLPPP will contract with vendors to ensure statewide coverage for the services outlined in this RFR.
